Tea Bowl
Tea Bowl
A very generous tea bowl with a faceted foot. Hand thrown on the potters wheel using a dark stoneware, glazed white with a brush stroke of copper oxide. The oxide moves gently in the heat of the kiln, slightly melting across the surface of the pot.
Tea bowls were originally intended for use in Japanese style tea ceremonies, but, when you don’t have time for a full on Japanese tea ceremony every day, they’re also great for cold drinks, small snacks and ice cream.
Microwave and dishwasher safe, although I would recommend hand washing for extra care.
