Lily Pearmain Ceramics

Contemporary ceramics, handmade in London using traditional methods.

I studied Russian at UCL before turning my hand to sourdough baking, and then to pottery. It was during my time baking that I became interested with processes in making, and this approach is evident in my ceramic work today.

I'm driven by experimenting with new processes and approaches to clay as a material, while keeping the work clean – often using simple forms. Predominantly I use the potters wheel, even for sculptural pieces, and with minimal glazing.

I regularly take bespoke commissions, big or small. Please get in touch via email and I'll respond as soon as possible.
